Jio Summer Surprise Official Announcement

In just one month, over 72 million Jio customers have signed up for Jio Prime. We, at Jio, are honoured and grateful for this tremendous response. I want to personally thank you for choosing Jio, and for being a founding member of the Jio movement,” Reliance Industries chairman mukesh D Ambani said in a letter to Jio subscribers

The extension is aimed at providing users the necessary time and to avoid service disruption during transition from free to paid services. However, Jio’s free services will come to an end after April 15. Jio users who don’t recharge by the extended date of 15 April 15 will experience degradation and/or discontinuation of services, said the company.

“Every Jio Prime member, when they make their first paid recharge prior to April 15 using Jio’s Rs 303 plan (or any higher value plan) will get services for the initial 3 months on a complimentary basis,” the company added. The paid tariff plan will be applied only in July, after the expiry of the complimentary service.

Que: I have taken the Prime subscription and have done the Rs 149 recharge. Will I be able to get the Summer Surprise offer?

Ans: Yes, but you will need to Recharge for minimum Rs 303 Plan or higher to get the Jio Summer Surprise Offer.

If you have recharge with 149 plan then just recharge with 303 plan again. Your plans will be activated like this, three months free until June. Then your 303 plan will be activated for the month of July and then 149 plan for the month of August.

Que: If I still wait till 15th and do the recharge on the last day, i.e. April 15th, will I be getting Free benefits till that day?

Ans: Yes, Jio Free 4G Services are extended upto 15th April 2017. So you can still enjoy Jio for free for more 15 days. But don’t forget to activate Jio Prime + Rs 303 Recharge in that time period to Enjoy Jio Summer Surprise Offer!!
